Your favorite home inspectors are smart… but they’re not psychic! While they can pinpoint most problem areas with a visual inspection or a simple mechanical test, a handful of system and appliance malfunctions will evade even the most watchful eye—and we call these malfunctions undetectable/unknown pre-existing conditions.
What does this mean? Let’s say your clients purchased a home. Shortly after closing, they noticed a plumbing pipe leak in the wall. The leak wasn’t visible and didn’t appear to impact water pressure prior to the effective date of the Plan. If that pipe leak was unknown to the seller, agent, buyer, or home inspector, we will provide covered services to repair the leak.*
Without an Old Republic Home Warranty Plan, what your clients don’t know might hurt them! And that’s why we cover undetectable/unknown pre-existing conditions for home buyers on homes going through a resale transaction.*
*Pre-existing conditions are not covered for home sellers or on homes not going through a resale transaction. See Plan for complete terms and conditions of coverage.
